Ich hab das Modell "MC086FD" und laut Internet ist das auch die 3. Generation.
Allerdings wenn ich per iTunes nen Software Update mache.. z.B. jz auf 4.0 dann läd iTunes die Datei "iPod2,1_4.0_8A293..." anstatt die "iPod3..."
Ich hatte bei Version 3 schonmal ne IPSW "iPod3,..." allerdings sagte iTunes mir das diese nicht kompatibel ist?!
